Bihar to Leh Ladakh – Complete Bike Trip Plan
Bihar se Leh ke liye route tumhare Bihar ke starting city par depend karega. Filhaal main Patna ko starting point maan kar plan bana raha hoon.
Meri recommendation: Patna → Varanasi → Lucknow → Delhi → Jammu → Srinagar → Kargil → Leh se jao. Srinagar route gradual altitude gain deta hai, jo Manali route ke comparison mein acclimatisation ke liye better hai.

Important: Day 21 is not the end of the journey to Patna. Chandigarh to Patna is another long ride of roughly 1,000 km, so add at least two more days for a safer return. This makes the full trip around 23 days, excluding extra sightseeing or weather buffers.
For a more relaxed ride, allow 25–27 days.

5. Best time and road status
Best planning window: July–August 2027, subject to actual road openings.
Srinagar–Leh highway is approximately 434 km.
Manali–Leh highway is approximately 473 km.
The Leh District administration gives the usual operating season as May–November/December for Srinagar–Leh and May/June–September/October for Manali–Leh.

6. Bike preparation and safety
Get a complete service before departure.
Check tyres, brake pads, chain, clutch, battery and engine oil.
Carry a puncture kit, portable inflator and basic tools.
Carry warm riding gear, rain protection and gloves.
Plan fuel carefully for remote stretches.
Stay at least two nights in Leh before attempting higher-altitude rides.
Check local permit requirements for Nubra, Pangong, Hanle and other restricted areas.
If you develop worsening headache, vomiting, breathlessness at rest or confusion, descend and seek medical assistance.
